Nice that your phone matches your socks and stripe on your pants, Rachael! Even when you are “down”, your style is “up”👍

My compliments on your ability to avoid the easy Hello Dali jokes.

Have you started looking at the PDX forecast?

Thank you for ringing my bell! ( not Ma Bell, either) 😉

Wondering the significance of the lobed golden ball seen on the roof-line, war memorial and now down here...

Repetition usually hints at importance. Or at least that is what they said when I was in school.

Im familiar with what you’re talking about. Portland is. Crow magnet and there’s a big migration with thiusands of them streaming into the city at the end of the day and out again in the morning. Personally I really like it but there’s no doubt it’s a mess if you’re unlucky enough to live under one of their trees.

That’s interesting. We’ve seldom biked in Germany, but it doesn’t sound like what I see here. Cultural differences maybe, but I’ll keep an eye out for counterevidence here.

Yes, but only in a very general sense. The size, shape, density and materials all affect the pitch and quality of a bell, and churches with multiple bells like this have bells on different pitches that are in tune with each other.

Any idea why the bells are of different shapes and sizes?
