I guess I am responsible for the stop in Padua instead of Rovigo as you had originally planned. It seemed to fit better to the beginning of our ride in Italy.
Also known as Torre di Malta - maybe that's a Maltese cross on the right? Couldn't find any information on the left part, though. Ezzelino III built the tower in 1251 which housed a dungeon. It is known as the scene of extreme cruelty.

This must have been the inspiration for kids book “Where the Wild Things Are”. It’s crazy what you can find in these church paintings and frescos. Great capture!
