Thanks for your note Mike! Yes we removed our masks to quickly gulp some food down and hydrate on our flights home. We were surprised at the number of people not wearing masks on the flights. We wore masks on all our flights to and from Europe. Feeling pretty good at the moment so hopefully on the mend.

I hope Keith shakes it off soon.
I had terrible sore throat for about three days and Mary had very mild symptoms.
Did you remove your masks to partake of any of the airline food?

Oh poor Keith. I hope he recovers quickly and that you dodge the bullet. Seems to be just another cost of travel these days. I likely became infected on an airplane coming back to Canada and Pat was collateral damage a few days later. Both on the mend now. It is similar to a wicked cold. Loved the blog - take care - fingers crossed.

Thanks for following along Rich. We are glad to be home now after 2 long flights and overnighting in Vancouver. Unfortunately I managed to come back with Covid. Doing fine … so far its just me.

Thanks Rachael! We are home now after overnighting in Vancouver at the airport. On the eve of our flight from Lisbon I could feel a very mild soreness developing in my throat. We were all packed up for our flight out around noon the next day. Both masked up for the long flight to Toronto and connecting flight 3 hours later to Vancouver. We had to overnight in Vancouver at the airport which was just as well. We fell into bed and I tested in the morning. Yup after 2 1/2 years of dodging this virus it finally found me … how? … i do not know. Hopefully I did not pass it on to anyone on our flights. I wasn’t the only one on the plane hacking. Doing well after a fitful so called sleep. Now the question remains … will I pass it one Kathleen? So far so good.

I’m sorry to see the end of your tour but glad to hear you made it home! I’m crossing my fingers that Keith didn’t get Covid.

I’m with you on that but I do like it for an excuse for eating cake for breakfast!

I have the blues, too - this trip has been incredible fun for me! (so selfish). I'm going to refer back to this journal as I plan our first trip to Portugal. Might be next year - you've done a great sales job!!
