I remember this plant, or its cousin. It looks like an Adriatic bellflower, but I'm not sure they range this far north.

3 weeks agoThe link is to a cholla; I think you forgot to copy the new one. However, the iNaturalist entry for common spotted orchid is very close.
3 weeks agoThe link shows them very well. The leaves lower down the stem were wider, though I wouldn’t think of them as particularly broad. I didn’t look for the very bottom leaves.

3 weeks agoWe saw at least one sign on our way up saying something about “randonée nordique” but this hillside is pretty steep. On the other hand, apparently the area is an alpine touring paradise in the winter.
