That soup looks delicious!

You’re almost home. Maybe another week?

So true. You get a lot more detail and sensory input on a bike. You’re lucky if you smell honeysuckle or lodge pole pines in a car. And you don’t hear the birds or the cows or the crickets or the frogs.

Great observations. I e driven through and around MT dozens of times, but a car is not a bike…!

My youngest brother is a professor...

My youngest daughter has the potential, but not me.

I'm noticing that now I am losing what little I had. Without the internet to dig around in, I would not be much. Like I told the kids back in the late 80s on a backpacking trip, "In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king." -Because I knew a few wild edibles like blueberries, dandelions and nettles.-

If only I could remember a small percentage of what I look up, I might qualify to act as a Prof, but the old CPU is full and the RAM can't even keep up. Anyone got a spare lightly used brain?

Giant plumes of smoke in the mountains looking eastfrom the ferry. They talked about evacuating the Ross Lake Resort. I'm guessing its probably pretty smoky on Hwy 20. Its 0 contained at this point,

WOW, we really did just miss you on the bridge by minutes. We were on it from Sandpoint at about 10:00. It sounded like you exited right after the bridge somewhere and did not ride into town. That is most likely how we missed seeing you.

I just looked it up. I wonder if they’ll close Washington pass. The smoke could be a problem anyway.

How cool would that have been? I was on the bridge at 9:45. Was the highlight of MY day meeting you and Susan!
