Maybe. I’m going to do some research when I get home but meanwhile, I found this resource https://gardentravelhub.com/?s=Dolomites+

I’m very envious. We were on the Alpe di Siusi in the winter ten years ago on a cross country ski trip, catching the gondola up from Ortisei. Incredible, but I’ve always wanted to get back to see it in the summer too.
3 years agoGreat to hear! We will be home by then so no Dolomites CB meetup for us.
3 years agoInteresting. You're stirring our bellies about the area. We'll be there in about a month from now! Ha ha.
3 years agoThe “Autonomy” art installation in Bohemia/Bolzano also has some Ladin on it, along with Italian, German, and some English. I had thought Ladin was a German dialect but it’s not even close.
3 years ago"we aren’t really in Italy anymore". So true. Sue and I had the same experience. We went from trying to speak bad Italian to speaking very bad Austro/German.

3 years agoAllez! Nice shot.

3 years agoWell done - congratulations!
3 years agoI wouldn’t say “fully” loaded as we weren’t carrying camping gear. We did lug full loads up Mont Ventoux and I did many passes in the Pyrenees like that on my solo tour. But we are (a bit) older now.
3 years agoI would also like to do that ride. Definitely an epic climb from either direction and completing the Stelvio Pass fully loaded - wow - as you likely already heard from others - RESPECT!

Hah! It’s usually me envious of you! But even Al called it magical. You should try to fit it in someday.
