Rachael, all our bike days in sunny Provence were great days. Just have to check the hiccups up to experience and try not to repeat them.

Sounds like you had a great day in spite of missing the bus! It’s lucky you had enough time to bike back even if it wasn’t the best route.

What an exceptional way to close out your tour! And I was so impressed about the way you managed logistics for the bus/train back home, until I wasn’t. Good story though.

The aqueduct is astonishing, alright. One of the great wonders of the ancient world. It’s such a gift to us that it survived the last two millennia in such exceptional condition.

Thanks Rich and Scott. It was a peak day for sure. I'm a slow writer but when there's so much good stuff to see it takes awhile.

What Rich said. Great post! Thanks for putting so much detail into this. We’ll definitely have to find our way back here again and stay longer next time.

I missed this when we were here, just last month. Arles is such an interesting place, worth more time and attention than we gave it.

Isn’t this an amazing tower! We stumbled on it when we were in Arles. It looked great is like a Gaudi building.

Ohmygosh! I’ve been to Arles 3 or 4 times and I still haven’t done some of the things you did in this one day. Major kudos to you two - amazing research and energy. Makes me want to go back and see some of these things!

I've never regretted getting the chocolate Bob.

If you enjoyed this, you will have to visit the Army Museum at Les Invalides the next time you are in Paris. The displays in the Sforza Castle in Milano are also spectacular.

Apples, cheese, wine and chocolate sounds like a good meal, in particular the chocolate.
