That’s probably it. It was definitely blue and seemed to emanate “phloxy” behavior

Good plan. I have your info in my phone so I’ll reach out when I’m inbound

Looks like maybe blue phlox.

Let me know when you are coming! If schedules allow, it will be fun to meet up and perhaps do a bit of riding/sightseeing!

I'm passing through Fremont on one of those days, and it looks like the Tackle Box will be a lunch stop (well, at 43 miles into the ride, an early lunch stop). But hey - us cyclists are always burning calories so any time is a good time to eat.

Thanks for the journal link - I'm going to go through that this morning to get excited about my upcoming trip and learn how you beat the GOP to Milwaukee.

I just happened across your journal. We (my wife and I) rode the North Coastal Inland Trail last year at the start of our journey, and based on the reviews of other cyclists on Crazy Guy, we stopped for the night in Fremont. If you are hungry when passing through, check out the Tackle Box II. It's a mile or two off-route, but worth the pedal for a local fish fry. When it's warm you can sit on the outside deck and watch the traffic on the river, too. Here's a link to their Google location (https://maps.app.goo.gl/jVrjZeGXaPG8xjLf6) and a link to my journal for that trip (https://www.cycleblaze.com/journals/rustbelt/).

Looking forward to following! I only live about 6 miles from the gate to the AF Museum, and in fact, actually ride right near there quite often and go fishing, riding up a little of Iron Horse Trail to where Creekside Trail makes its turn north, and ride on it for a few miles and then on Springfield Street. A good distance to maintain cardio fitness.
