I think that you just haven't looked hard enough!

Yeah, overall we’re pretty lucky living in Canada where there’s a wide range of cuisines to choose from (in most places). It wasn’t always like that but it’s sure changed for the better over the last few decades. You can eat quite well in Revy and we do alright in Canmore too.

What I was trying to get at was: did water drip down and then evaporate allowing a ‘mite’ to grow up or; did the water evaporate before dripping and hence allow a ‘tire’ to grow down? Once the column reaches from floor to ceiling it’s not clear to me how you can tell. In all likelihood it is a combination of both and the mite and tite meeting somewhere in the middle and then expanding in girth together.

Mites go up and the tires go down... :-)

I know what you mean about the food. I had a poke bowl last night in France. Sacrilege? Perhaps. But it tasted great to me.

That is so true. We were also really impressed by how much of what we ate was foraged or produced within just a few km’s from here.

Sounds like Idrija hasn’t changed much. We did get a nice apartment through Booking but once in the town it looked like the only accommodation was Barbara’s guest house. Looked like it catered to bikers (I’m assuming the pedal kind like us). This is probably the place you were trying to stay. According to our apt host, it was also the only place available to get something to eat. Google said it was open …. But guess what, Google was wrong! Good thing the SPAR was open.
