I did the Sellaronda in my pre-cycleblaze days. Simply amazing!! I do think it's interesting that even though I live surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery (as you do), I can still be amazed again and again.
2 months agoWe loved Bolzano and hope we make it back there again ourselves someday. And we loved the Alpe de Siusi and the Sassolungo group too -it's a shame you got rained out this time, but they should still be there awhile. We saw them on a cross country ski trip long ago, when we stayed in Ortisei for five nights and caught the lift up to the plateau each day. Incredibly beautiful, probably our best skiing experience anywhere.
2 months agoI was! We went back to the apartment and I went to bed. We both could feel our legs the next morning when we went up the stairs.

I was just looking back at some old journal pages and realized I thought I replied to your comment in ’sort of’ real time, but did the classic error and just added another comment rather than a reply.
Just correcting that mistake now, and (re)sending what I thought i had already done.
Sounds like you had a great tour as well, and made it home for Mother’s Day. Always a good move.
