ok I revised my plans. I will go to Puerto Natales by ferry. Then take a bus back to El Chaitén. This way my trip will only by pass 315 km. The toughest part.
A local rider told me it was very hard the walking trail between O Higgins and El Chaiten. 3 rivers to cross and quite a climb by foot with a fully loaded bike.
I am following the advice of several cyclists. Waiting for the ferry. Leaving at 1:00 in the morning.
