Geneva Rest Day

Just a day off in Geneva to see the town a bit and relax. None of us had been here before.

Some of the Geneva waterfront as we walked to the Tourist Office.

The Geneva Jet d'Eau. The fountain jets 130 US gallons of water into the air to an altitude of 460 feet. The water leaves the nozzle at a speed of 120 mph (so don't stick your hand in it!). At any given moment there are about 1,800 US gallons of water in the air.

Cathédrale Saint-Pierre. Jacques Flournoy probably worshipped here while he was in Geneva. I later confirmed he married his wife, Elisabeth Boussens, here on February 4, 1637.
