Day 66 Frankenmuth, MI

The forecast today was for heavy thunderstorms, so we decided to take this as a rest day.  The hotel we were in last night was full tonight, so we moved across town (and down the amenity scale) to the Frankenmuth Motel.  It is clean and comfortable and they let us check in early so we could come straight here when checked out of the Marv Herzog.

One of the amenities at the Marv Herzog was an evening reception with beer, wine, soft drinks and snacks.  It was very nice and served with a smile by Kari.  She did a great job keeping glasses filled and the food replenished.

Thanks Kari. You were a good hostess.

Kerry is doing bike maintenance and the rest of us are sitting outside watching the clouds roll by.  It's almost 12:30 and we've had only sprinkles of rain so far.

UPDATE:  There was some heavier rain in the afternoon and we were glad to be dry and clean on the porch.

Kerry got all his bike maintenance and repair done and we're ready for the next 1500 miles.

Today's ride: 1 mile (2 km)
Total: 3,013 miles (4,849 km)
