Day 46 Floodwood, MN

Today we started with another long rain delay.  We had planned to leave at 8:30, but it was raining when we woke up and the rain continued until 3PM.  It was also very chilly - around 60.  We were able to stay in our room until about 1Pm, then went up to the office/lodge and had a nice visit with the owners Tami and Randy.  Randy even drove Kerry into town to pick up pizza for lunch.  We feel so lucky to meet such nice people when we travel.  Randy and Tami have a winter home in central Florida and enjoy riding their recumbents, so we hope to see them again.

The rain finally stopped about 3PM, so we put on our warm gear and took off for the short 37 mile ride to Floodwood.  It warmed up and the sun came out after the first hour and we were able to shed the extra clothes.  It was a very comfortable ride.  I didn't take many pictures today, but here are a few scenes from the road.

We had good shoulders the whole way. Minnesota drivers continue to be great

We don't see many farms up here. I saw this herd of cows this afternoon.
