Day 41 Walker, MN

We had a great ride today, except for very chilly temperatures for Team S.  It was in the low 60's most of the day with almost 100% cloud cover.  We escaped any rain and even had a tiny bit of sunshine the last few miles.

We were on the Paul Bunyan Trail for the entire route.  It is Minnesota's premiere destination trail and was a wonderful route.  The route is very wooded, passes through several small towns and many lakeside resorts.  Some scenes from the trail:

This is Paul Bunyan country and we learned that he had a "sweetheart" named Lucette.

I found something wonderful in Backus - heat from a dryer vent at the laundromat!

We met Chris, a very well traveled cycle tourist, on the trail this morning.  We all enjoyed talking with him.
