Day 39 Baxter, MN

Today was a highway day.  We were on highways all day, but we had a good wide shoulders the whole way.  The only thing we could find to complain about was a brisk headwind the entire ride.

We had railroad tracks along the road the whole way.  We saw a coal train waiting on a siding for its turn to go.  Kerry measured it at 1.2 miles long.

There were two locomotives pulling the train and two at the end pushing

We didn't count the cars, but the train was over one mile long

This is a turkey barn.  There were three this size.  It was quite fragrant.

I saw this wooden enclosure.  I don't know what a scale yard is, but it must be a place to weigh cows.
