Day 10 St. Augustine

Today was a rest day in St. Augustine.  It started out chilly and raining, so we were very happy to stay in the hotel this morning.  By noon, the sun was out and we decided to do some sightseeing.  After getting some lunch, we visited the Lightner Museum and the Castillo de San Marcos.  We had a good time, but it was way too chilly to be comfortable outside.

Castillo de San Marcos, built in the 1590's. St. Augustine was founded in 1565!

Tomorrow we have a 46 mile ride to Ormond Beach.  It is supposed to be about 45 degrees when we leave here at 10AM.  Kerry and I are not looking forward to that, but I'm sure we'll survive. JS

Going East over this bridge tomorrow then south along the Atlantic.

We literally plan to wear all our clothes while cycling tomorrow morning. Hoping the sunshine and tailwind will make it quite pleasant!  FG
