to Brunswick/Knoxville
We were at a B&B again, last night was in Williamsport. It was drizzly, the trail was a bit rough. There was a detour with some steep climbs and a very steep descent on mulch. The trail was then mostly improved, but when it was bad it was very bad.
I crossed the bridge back to West Virginia to go to Harper's Ferry, the site of John Brown's raid.
The C&O is not really the place for me and my road bike. It is somewhat exhausting to ride this surface. It had been improving since Cumberland, and might be good tomorrow.
