This note describes a bike tour through the Slocan Valley by Mike & Louise in September 2023. The goal was to familiarise ourselves with this part of the Kootenays, visit lots of little towns, and get some exercise.

By our start date (Sept 16), we were almost ready to leave - except for a few minor details. Which as usual turned into a full day of last-minute scrambling which postponed the departure by one day. But we got an early start the next day.
