RT 66 Day 34-Blue Sky Day

After Sunday’s biblical rainstorm in Springfield, we’re back to blue skies and a good forecast for the next few days.

With a few days off the bikes we were ready to hit the road today for a smooth 70 mile ride up past Lebanon to Ozark Estates campground.

Murals continue to guide the way, this one in Marshfield.

This building has been repainted back to the look and feel of 1950.

Interesting history of this business, but another story of 66 decline when the interstate came through.

Our first WH stop of the ride.

Today’s campground is quite an upgrade for us.

The fun surprise of today was meeting Pavan from Michigan. He’s riding RT 66 E to W, starting in Chicago two weeks ago. We traded stories about what is ahead for each of us. We wish him well.
