Day 8: WHEEEEEE!

Today was as "easy" as yesterday was difficult. And I'm saying "easy" because we still had to pedal, and we were happy when we arrived.

Still, the ride from Arlington to Pueblo was a joy in comparison. The day started with barely a whisper of a wind and as the day went on the wind got stronger, in the right direction, pushing us mostly down hill to town. It was a fabulous ride!

We met a few other riders as well. In the sugar city cafe we met a family who were eastbound. The boy, about 13, seems like he will be a tourer for life.

Later we met a couple of retired guys riding from New York to Oregon, by way of the Transam route, and possibly back again along the northern tier. It must be nice to be retired.

Other than that we enjoyed the easy pedaling, went farther than we had planned, and made it to town around 4pm. Tired but happy. A near perfect day on the bike.
