After a few days visiting family in Holland, we fly to Islamabad.

Flight to Istanbul from Amsterdam, then a flight to Islamabad

We arrive in Islamabad very early in the morning and Sayed is there to pick us up and take us to the hotel. The next day he shows us the Faisal Mosque and lunch at an Afghanistan restaurant.

Sayed meets us at the airport. For the next month, Sayed will be our guide.

Sayed shows us around Islamabad.

"The Faisal Mosque is the national mosque of Pakistan, located in the capital city, Islamabad. It is the fifth-largest mosque in the world and the largest within South Asia, located on the foothills of Margalla Hills in Islamabad. It is named after the late King Faisal of Saudi Arabia. The mosque features a contemporary design consisting of eight sides of concrete shell and is inspired by the design of a typical Bedouin tent."
