Day 56: Cefalu to Torrenova

Uneventful Day

Luckily, we do not have to retrace our steps from yesterday getting into town yesterday. There is a road that skirts around the big rock and follows the coast east. It is a very scenic route, there is a castle, craggy rocks and many hotels, some looking good, some pretty much abandoned

The route is fairly uneventful, except that we have a fair amount of climbing to do on many little hills. We again follow RidewithGPS instructions, it takes us off route 113 a couple of times and we avoid some hills or busy sections.

Fairly typical sight in Sicily. I can attest we did not add anything, not even a used tissue.

RidewithGPS detours us below for bit and we avoid a climb and the road above for about 5km. Great area for dumping trash.

Hilltop town. Glad we did not book a hotel up there.

We reach the hotel right at one when check-in starts. There is not much to do in this town, but that serves us just fine. We catch up on internet stuff and read. The restaurant downstairs opens in the evening and serves a good pizza according to online reviews. There is some confusion about us wanting to just share a pizza, so we end up with two the same pizzas. We eat most of it.
