The land is ravaged but the lake is very pretty.

We stoppd for a break and talked with a young fellow who was describing what it was like to be in a shelter listening to the wind and to walk out after two hours of 150 mph wind to find everything gone.

We rode a little on The Florid Trail that hikers walk up from Miami. It's a mess but we were able to ride on it for just a bit. The hotel we are in is bare bones but we are just lucky to have a place. Tomorrow we will shift into Eastern Time and I think we will ride beyond the hurricane path.
