A Most Amazing Ride...So Far

Bodega Bay to Reyes Station, then to the hostal

Started out from the Lodge in fog but it burned off as we rode and what a pretty ride today. You could smell the eucalyptus along the way. Delicious.

Lots of ups and downs and tree lined curves.

California hillside desert

Riding along Tamales Bay was so nice. Fall colors and light traffic. Oyster beds, sailboats, house built right over the water.

Now we are in Reyes Station. We just have a hill to climb to get to the hostal. Looks like 850 feet of climbing to go. We've done 2000 feet so far.

We climbed 3000 feet today! Staying at the hostel was fun. we all got lower bunks which is nice when you have to get up to pee in the night! Met nice people. There's a pilgrim group here that finds walks to hostels sort of the like the Camino. They've all walked the Camino. It was fun to visit with them.

Today's ride: 40 miles (64 km)
Total: 1,049 miles (1,688 km)
