Day 147 - Santa Ana, Cagayan to Nangaramoan Beach to Lal-lo, Cagayan via Mission Road

117km of mostly smooth and well-paved roads on mostly flat terrain from Santa Ana Municipal Hall with some easy climbs on small hills to Nangaramoan Beach Resort and Pozo Robo Beach Club to Lal-lo Municipal Hall via Magapit Mission Road.

Breakfast at Jei-Jei Mikihan Snackhaus; lunch at JNJ Restaurant, both in Sta. Ana, Cagayan; and dinner at a roadside eatery near Lal-lo Municipal Park. I'll sleep again inside my tent at the Lal-lo Municipal Disaster Operation Center tonight.

The Magapit–Santa Teresita Road a.k.a. Magapit Mission Road is a two-lane, 33km (21 miles) national secondary road in Cagayan Province. It serves as a bypass road starting from the Magapit Interchange in Lal-Lo, Cagayan and ends at Dugo-San Vicente Road in Santa Teresita, Cagayan, making a shorter travel time to the Cagayan Special Economic Zone and Freeport, and is now designated as the National Route 119 of the Philippine highway network.

I wonder why the entire road is almost devoid of any tree for shelter against the heat of the sun...
