Wichita River Trail, TX

We really enjoyed this ride. Although we started in the rain, it soon stopped and we began riding along the river, around the city until connecting up with another trail which took us up the lake. The riding was fun, few ups and downs and a lot of weaving around.

We also got to see “walking stick” insects which was quite a treat for us along the way.

Very few people but we did meet one cyclist who told us it was possible to cycle the full loop around the city. He tried to explain it to us but not being local we just turned around and rode back.

Can definitely recommend this ride for anybody coming through the area.

We also got to watch the first live armadillo we’ve ever seen. Seen a lot of road kill but nothing alive.
