Villazon

Our last full day in Bolivia. Tomorrow more cross into Argentina.

Our taxi driver today was a man of more advanced years than young Yoni from a couple of days ago.   His vehicle was also much newer so we felt far safer.  At the start of the journey I said to "Por favor, no manejas muy rapido.  Tenemos much tiempo" and he duly acceded to my request.

Villazon was reached by eleven thirty.   For border towns it seems remarkably clean and well organized.  We checked into the Hostal Casa Grande and headed out for a large lunch in an attempt to spend as much of our last Bolivianos as possible - changing them to Argentino Pesos would be a waste of money.

Our target for tomorrow is Abra Pampa about 75 kilometers away.  Not much climbing involved but we are back at around three and a half thousand meters.  Of course this is dependent on how quickly we can complete the border formalities.  If necessary,  we might spend tomorrow night in La Quiaca, the town adjacent to the border on the Argentinian side.

Today's ride: 1 km (1 miles)
Total: 1,083 km (673 miles)
