Sawi to La mae

Today we had a very nice and varied ride 😍
We started in Sawi again with the obligatory delicious soup at the lady at the roadside.
Then along or through palm plantations. Including some nasty 8% hills.
On the crest of one of these hills was "The Graveyard of Prayer Huts" on the side of the road.
While we were recovering from the exertions of the climb, we witnessed a wonderful "jungle concert".
Driving through the plantations, one hears the chirping and chirping of birds.
At this spot, probably some old forest remained standing and the soundscape was great.
Then we went down to the Thailand Riviera - beautiful!!!
In between we were allowed to master a 12% slope.
Admittedly, it was not that long - but still not fun. And how crazy do you have to be to take on something like that for kilometers? Dad???

Back on the beach, we cracked the 500-kilometer mark for this trip. 💪🏼👊🏼
The last twenty kilometers dragged a bit. Although kilometers along the coast - but zero shade and little variety.
But now we are in La Mae and have booked two bungalows on the beach. For two nights, tomorrow is rest day.

Heute hatten wir eine sehr schöne und abwechslungsreiche Fahrt 😍
Los ging's in Sawi wieder mit der obligatorischen köstlichen Suppe bei der Dame am Straßenrand.
Danach entlang bzw. durch Palmenplantagen. Inklusive einiger fieser 8-%-Hügel.
Auf dem Scheitelpunkt eines dieser Hügel befand sich "Der Friedhof der Gebetshäuschen" am Straßenrand.
Während wir uns von den Strapazen des Anstiegs erholten, wurden wir Zeugen eines wundervollen"Urwaldkonzertes".
Fährt man durch die Plantagen, hört man Gezirpe und Vogelgezwitscher.
Hier ist wohl etwas alter Wald stehen geblieben und die Geräuschkulisse war großartig.
Dann ging es runter zur Thailand Riviera - wunderschön!!!
Zwischendurch durften wir noch eine 12-%-Steigung meistern.
Zugegeben, sie war nicht so doll lang. Wie verrückt muss man sein, sowas über Kilometer auf sich zu nehmen? Papa???

Die letzten zwanzig Kilometer zogen sich dann etwas. Zwar kilometerlang entlang der Küste - aber null Schatten und wenig Abwechslung.
Aber jetzt sind wir in La Mae und haben zwei Bungalows am Strand gebucht. Für zwei Nächte, morgen ist Ruhetag.
