Ao Bo Mao Bay to Hat Son Beach

Weather-wise, today had almost everything up its sleeve.
From wet road in the morning to light cloud cover, warm drizzle, then about 15 minutes of heavy rain that has us really nice soaked, cloudless sky with banging sun. At dinner on the beach strong wind with a few droplets, which made us want a jacket.
Now that we have found a very nice resort on the beach, the sun is shining and all is well.
Actually, we had another destination in mind. However, on the way we saw the signs to Thailand's giant dune and spontaneously turned off.
Since we already had the dune on our route eleven years ago and our way down the coast this year did not lead us there this time, we wanted to see it again.
It was worth it and at least we drove differently than on the way there.
Tomorrow we will stay here and enjoy the beach. 🌴😁🙋🏼♀️

Wettertechnisch hatte der heutige Tag fast alles in petto.
Von nasser Straße am Morgen über leichte Bewölkung, warmen Nieselregen, dann ca 15 Minuten starker Regen, der uns richtig schön durchgenässt hat, wolkenloser Himmel mit knallender Sonne. Beim Essen am Strand starker Wind mit ein paar Tröpfchen, der den Wunsch nach einer Jacke aufkommen ließ.
Jetzt, wo wir ein sehr nettes Resort am Strand gefunden haben, scheint die Sonne und alles ist gut.
Eigentlich hatten wir ein anderes Ziel im Sinn. Auf dem Weg haben wir jedoch die Schilder zu Thailands Riesendüne gesehen und sind spontan abgebogen.
Da wir die Düne vor elf Jahren schon auf unserer Route hatten und unser Hinweg dieses Mal dran vorbei geführt hatte, wollten wir sie noch mal sehen.
Hat sich gelohnt und zumindest sind wir zum Teil anders gefahren, als auf dem Hinweg.
Morgen werden wir auch hier bleiben und den Strand genießen. 🌴😁🙋🏼♀️
