Aboard at Bordeaux
We sailed into Paris on Sunday evening, as you near our mournings it is amazing the number of floating homes there are. Apparently there are about 1800 such stationary boats used for homes - the rule is they must be taken into dry dock every 10 years. We docked where we had started a week ago once more watching the Olympic balloon taking its passengers (10 at a time) high up for what must be a magnificent view of Paris.

Today was the of relocating to our ship in Bordeaux which of course involved an extremely rapid transfer by TGV. It surprised us that Ken and I seemed to be the only ones interested in watching the passing countryside as we hurtled the 400 km to our new home. The rest played with their phones, slept, read or did puzzles. Arriving in Bordeaux it is very hot (38 degrees) so like most others we are holed up in our cool cabin. The 10minute walk from the train to the buses was certainly enough for me.
