We  returned to Fire Tower for breakfast and more espresso, then did a supply run to the Safeway, so a 0900 start to our ride.

This is our last section of riding in USA, just 600k to the border at Roosville. Then Canada.

It never looks nearly as steep or rocky in photos...

The  day became very hot, and we revisited some of the awful road surfaces we'd last seen in NM. Wyoming, you are  forgiven your ruler straight roads or your meandering, rolling wagon tracks, at least the surface was mostly good!

We slowly climbed, and then slowly descended through the rocks to Llama Ranch, which is a bikers haven. We'd been told by everyone we asked that it was a must stop.

We were held up by a 3 train jam near Blossburg. 3 very long trains!

Llama Ranch is a great place to stay. Barbara Nye first invited bikers to camp in the paddock beside her house, and has slowly increased the amenities. Small cabins, Portaloos and a solar shower raise this paddock well above just a camp site. Bikers and CDT hikers flock in each day.

Today's ride: 65 km (40 miles)
Total: 3,712 km (2,305 miles)
