Aust - The seventh step ... London to Edinburgh via Land's End and John o'Groats - CycleBlaze

June 13, 2019

Aust

We woke to the sound of rain bucketing down.  Thank goodness there was a hay barn next to the campsite so I was able to cook us our now customary oats porridge for breakfast.  We also used it as a shelter in which we could dry the tent a bit when we packed up.

Then it was back over the Severn and an early check-in at the Travelodge.

Crossing back over the Severn on National Cycle Route 4.

We have had a very productive work day getting a number of tasks off our list and managing a few telephone calls to business partners back in South Africa.  So the stay here has not been a waste at all.  The weather still looks iffy over the next few days but we will just have to grit our teeth until next week when it is predicted to improve.

Today's ride: 9 km (6 miles)
Total: 961 km (597 miles)
