Day 22: Bozeman to Pine Creek Lodge
This morning, Jon drove us back to Bozeman and we stopped along the way to pick up supplies. We parted ways with Jon at a coffee shop near the start of ride. Many thanks to Jon for transporting us round trip, and Bobbi for the hospitality of overnighting at there place. After a bite to eat we made our way out of town with a couple of steady climbs on Bridget Canyon Road. We climbed ~900 feet over Bozeman Pass (5702 feet) followed by a long roll down. It was a bit on the warm side, especially in the sun but we took our lunch break at a park in Livingston with a proper cooling down at Dairy Queen. From DQ, it was about an hour ride to the campsite at Pine Creek Lodge, skirting a thunderstorm. Unfortunately, we were one night too early, so we’ll miss the beer and the Led Zeppelin tribute band. The cheddar and broccoli pasta with tuna was cooked in the sound booth for the concert venue to avoid the rain drops. Tomorrow onto Wyoming and Yellowstone National Park…
