This is an all motel trip.: lodging list.

Overall, I made good lodging choices. Price, proximity to food, being on route, and ratings are all factors I weigh when making choices.

We had some crazy expensive lodging this trip in the National Park area. We combatted that to a degree by sharing lodging six nights. Being in Utah where they have big families was to our advantage. We were able to find 2 bed/2 bath places quite easily.

Moab, UT - Apache Motel (inexpensive for Moab, older, not on the main drag)

Monticello,UT - Grist Mill Inn B&B (bikes outside)

Bluff, UT - Cottonwood RV Park (cabin - very rustic - there are other choices in town)

Mexican Hat,UT - San Juan Inn (by the river, I loved the location)

Kayenta, AZ-Monument Valley Inn (totally not worth the $$$, but they have a captive clientele)

Tuba City, AZ - Legacy Motel (best room for the $$ I've ever had, complete change from the previous night)

Marble Canyon, AZ - Marble Canyon Lodge

Jacob Lake, AZ - Jacob Lake Lodge

North Rim, AZ North Rim Lodge (total ripoff - but there you are)

Hillsdale, UT - Zion's Most Wanted Hotel (the history of the place made me a bit squeamish. We learned of this after the fact)

St George, UT - Clarion Inn

Cedar City, UT - Best Western Town and Country

Brian Head, UT - Cedar Breaks Lodge (fabulous luxury for the $$)

Panguitch, UT - Blue Pine Motel

Bryce Canyon, UT - Bryce Lodge (another rip off)

Escalante, UT - Prospector Inn

Boulder, UT - Pole's Place (bikes outside)

Torrey, UT - Capitol Reef Inn

Hanksville, UT - Whispering Sands Motel

Green River, UT - Robber's Roost Motel (not nice, don't stay here)

Moab, UT - back at the Apache
