For our last night together, we're pleased to be staying at a hotel in Palatka FL. After our group dinner, the Timberline staff gave us some mementoes, invited each rider to share some words about the trip, and announced that Judy would lead the group ride into St. Augustine Beach tomorrow. 

Palatka is the seat of Putnam County. Here's a photo of the courthouse, with a statue honoring soldiers who fought for the Confederacy during the Civil War. In 2021, the county political leaders drew much controversy when they proposed to adopt an ordinance that would protect this statue from being removed.
