The Adventure Cycling Association (ACA), a nonprofit organization, currently has a cross-country bicycle trip on the "Southern Tier" route that we are basically following.  The ACA trip left San Diego on 3/6. We left San Diego on 3/12. We caught up to the ACA trip today. In this photo you see the ACA trailer and tents in front of ours at the Haas Cienda RV park at Poplarville MS.

The ACA trip is smaller, with only 13 riders and 2 staff.  I'm told that, of the 2 staff, 1 drives the support vehicle and trailer and 1 bikes behind the riders as a sweeper (with the 2 switching duties each day).
