France again
Well, when I study the map I think this will be about mounains and lakes - among other things. There will also be attractive towns and above all good company. This tour has been in the planning for quite a while. You might have picked up a fleeting reference to the tour in other journals on CycleBaze. We will be meeting Susan Carpenter and Team Anderson in Annecy for another ride together. We have all faced obstacles, mainly health related, but it seems we are all going to make it.
Janos and I will drive to Annecy with our bikes on a bike rack. We are taking our time and are allowing two days for the ~650 km distance, with an overnight in Rastatt where we hope to eat well and sleep well. I am relieved that the weather forecast is looking good, too. Here in Munich it's 3C at the moment.
This is what our route looks like. Susan already had this in mind last September when we cycled together in the Allgäu. I think it is going to be a wonderful tour with multi-night stops in four different towns, allowing for lots of day rides and hikes to explore the surroundings. Thanks for setting this up, Susan!

In the meantime since I last posted a tour back in October 2024 we haven't done much cycling. Low temperatures and rain have not been conducive.
But there will be no journaling without pictures. We were in Moniga del Garda at the southern tip of Lake Garda for a week and rode our bikes a bit there.

Last week we spent a few days in Budapest, without our bikes and we got rained on too, but enjoyable nevertheless.
See you soon!
