Day 13: In Pont-en-Royans

Today while the others, that is Susan, Jacquie, Al and Scott, embarked on a more ambitious ride and Rachael went on a hike, Janos and I set out on the little loop that Susan rode yesterday and it proved to be a perfect ride for us.

The narrative for today is minimalistic, just captions to the pictures.

As we leave we look back to Pont-en-Rayons from the bridge over the Bourne.

We soon start climbing into the stunning countryside.

First stop is in St. Eulalie to admire the lavoir there.

Although the lavoir is no longer used for doing laundry, it is well preserved.

This realistic mural on the side of the lavoir simulates a scene from earlier days, including the street it is on.

Next stop is in St. Laurent to admire the budding plane trees in front of the church.

In St. Jean it's time for a coffee break.

They were serving a nice lunch but I saved my appetite for our evening meal and just had a drink.

Dinner with our CycleBlazer friends topped off a fine day.
