White's Ferry

Most of today's ride was along the Washington and Old Dominion cycle way. It's one of the best cycle ways I have every seen.

I made a detour to visit the Smithsonian museum near Dulles Airport.

After crossing the Potomac, I camped at one of the C&O canal's free campsites. Other than a swarm of mosquitos, it was a nice site.

This path is in suburban Virginia.

Are you tired of arriving at events by helicopter ? Then get yourself a Joint Strike Fighter. The crowds will immediately look up when they here the sonic boom. Then touch down vertically.

The ferry uses a cable for guidance, which is quite rare.
