Sodus Point

Who'll Stop The Rain

Whoa, started out dry and ended with no rain, but in between.... Ouch.

So I arrived at a B&B around 2 just as some heavy rains were stopping. Quite a strange day, but mostly all about the rain.  I actually started biking at 6:40 but ended about 2:00.  The time in between was spent at a laundry mat and a bakery.  Fortunately, I'm in the Great Lakes Plains and long hills weren't an issue.

Out of the ADK's lake tourist district, there were plenty of mobile homes. Mostly well kept but certainly a bit less then the tourist area.

Not much to say about the ride today as it was all about the rain. Not a lot of looking up. Not a lot of pictures. At one point I was a bit worried about being hypothermic.  But now I'm on L Ontario! Fills me with joy for some reason. Sodus Point, is actually ok. It's really all about the boating. Not much other tourist stuff. I'm ok with that.

So, it seems I'm eating just two meals a day. The late ish lunch has been enough. Of course feeling a bit bloated but, the price of bicycling touring. The hard core biker hunger thing should hit soon.

Home for the night, one short block from L Ontario.

Tomorrow, winds are supposed to kick in. I'm thinking of a motel but we'll see. Rochester will have lots of options.

Today's ride: 37 miles (60 km)
Total: 297 miles (478 km)
