Huron for a good time - Ossineke State Forest Campground
A very good day. A mix of great bike trails, back roads and some Rte 23.

Highlight of the day, and along with Niagara Falls, the whole trip, was meeting Theo. He has a mobile bike shop for the area of Tawas, and thank God for that. I left him a message last night saying I was semi desperate for a tire. He came through in spades. At the start of the journal I said if I was fortunate, I would meet kind and generous people. I met Theo. Just know he is the kind of person you want to know.

I took my first swim in any of the Great lakes today. Yes it was short dip. Some might call it, appropriately, a skinny dip. The lake was shallow so I only went up to knees and basically laid flat. Better then a shower!
So last night there was occasional rain but none when I arose (5:00 ish). And today's tail wind seems to help make the ride go fast and fun. Tonight though, there are rumblings ( quite a few actually) with maybe a bit of rain. It's been raining off and on for awhile but only lightly. Tomorrow is supposed to be okay. So maybe I'll sleep ok again as long as it's not " a hard rain's gonna fall".
It was a very good day for getting lake views. Both direct and through the residences. It's pretty exciting for me and I'm not sure why.
Today's ride: 83 miles (134 km)
Total: 980 miles (1,577 km)
