Back to Otter Lake

Back at Otter Lake for the night! Stopped in my way here in Saginaw to collect a new tire. My knickers may have been in a twist over nothing.
The tire Theo supplied (free, but used ) is still roundish on the top. So a side wall puncture is not a tire weakness per se ( I hope). So the new tire is on the rack and waiting. The place I got a tire in Saginaw, Chicki and Chippi, Bicycle , Vacuum and Fitness (go figure) had a fantastic owner. We had a nice chat and he gave me a huge discount as he loved the idea of what I was doing. Thank You! The ride today was over familiar terrain. The thumb isn't so bad the second go round. Some of the turns were even remembered.
In Saginaw, the shop owner was a bit surprised I was traveling alone. Not sure why... Should have asked. Anyway, I am loving this, in most ways. The only drawback is not sharing it with and being with Tina. The lack of Tina is somewhat mitigated by talking and texting a few times a day. Otherwise absolutely no loneliness here. Being able to decide how far to go based on wind, my energy and campsites (and lately electricity) is very liberating. Still, have you noticed how the pace is picking up now that I'm heading home ..
Yes, I'm going home
But now I'm back at site 43, on Otter Lake, waiting for the bull frogs to begin their wonderful singing. They sound like cellos! Yeah, a bit of a stretch. Oh bla di oh bla da.
Today's ride: 75 miles (121 km)
Total: 1,531 miles (2,464 km)
