Springwater OAB - Seven and Seven: 2025 - CycleBlaze

Springwater OAB

So here's a day the team has been looking forward to: a real bike ride, with video!  Everything is in alignment - the weather is fair, Rachael's got new gloves and wrist brace, I've got a spare tube, we're both over jet lag.  Let's grab the GoPro and go, go, go!

With several good candidates to choose from we pick the Springwater Corridor, with the plan that we'll just bike as far as feels right and then turn back.  And let's not waste many words talking about it, let's just look:

Sound track: Aeolian Tale, by Oregon

In the interest of just enjoying the ride I left the Canon behind and only stopped in a few spots for shots with the phone.  Might as well include them here too, as long as I stopped for them.  First, Fleet Week is still on of course, so that merits a few quick stops.

Let's bike, buddy!

And the Dragon Boat races are on too.  We've never watched this so obviously we have to stop for that.  It's an interesting event.contestants race in heats of three, beginning in the middle of the river near Tilikum Crossing and ending near the West Bank where a crowd is assembled watching the action.

Viewing the viewers through the Hawthorne Bridge.

And they're off! We didn't wait to see who won, but it's pretty clear who the also-oared team is: ,ok at how ragged that line of oars is in the back.

And just one more for the road, since Rocky's battery died.  Seemed worth stopping for.

On the Springwater Corridor.

Scott AndersonTo Rich FrasierIt wasn't bad at all. We turned back just before Gresham and didn't see anything other than a few isolated small camps, reasonably trash free. I think I'll give the I-205 path a test one of these days.
