The Big Drive to Saint-Emillion

Today was about driving. We left Normandie at 8:30 to get to the Bordeaux airport by 3:30 to pick up Maddie. We arrived about 15 minutes before a smiling Madelynn came out of the customs gate with her two panniers and her bike packed into a nice box.

We stuffed her and her gear into the back seat of our rental and headed off to Saint-Emillion.

We were going to go out for dinner but did not think Maddie would make it to the 7:30 restaurant opening time. Our host offered to make us Quiche and salad and served us in the breakfast room which was just perfect.

Maddie and I went for a walk around the area to prolong Maddie's sleep time to a bit latter. Our hotel is situated amongst some amazing wine houses with large chateaux everywhere you look.
