I haven't had one in many years. I've been riding a Brooks for 20 years and am very spoiled. They just work for me.

2 weeks agoThat saddle has ridden many, many miles. Funny how we were just talking about you saying that you needed to replace it. Hope the Walmart replacement doesn't give you saddle sores.

2 weeks agoYou're so right, Bill! I already took the time to break in my butt to the Brooks. Now I get to break in another! At least we only have about a week or less left so it's not as bad as it could be š
2 weeks agoYeah - it may be a pain in the @ss for the rest of the trip, but as my husband says, when I run out of stubborn, I'm just plain tough. We'll see....
2 weeks agoOh, no...
Breaking in a new saddle... or rather your seat, since the new one is not leather that slowly conforms to your anatomy.
Did that on a tour in 2008, and it was such a pain for so long!!
What a shame about your saddle. The right seat can make such a difference on a long ride. Hope your new one works out for you.
2 weeks agoIt is such a treat to ride somewhere with good infrastructure!
