Rick, Looks like it's possible that you're in/near Missoula. I've been enjoying your journal. We are having a small dinner tonight for a couple touring cyclists as well as a few local folks who have done some significant tours. Just sharing stories and building connections; you're welcome to join if you're interested. You can reach me at nordicski45@gmail.com

Belted Galloways! Aka Belties. My favorite breed just because of the name.

Do you have an estimated arrival day at Glacier? We are there on the 13th, riding the Going to the Sun Road on the 14th.

Oh, and the Pride Festival is organized by the owners of the Evergreen, so maybe they told you all of this already!

I'm from Libby. You may be surprised to hear that the third annual Lincoln County Pride Festival will take place in July at the riverside pavilion named after my late father. There was some pushback the first year but things have settled down and I hope it stays that way. I wrote a post on the local newspaper Facebook page in support and if folks don't like it, well, it's a good day to mind your own business and go camping or fishing instead. Never a dull moment in my cantankerous hometown. It's not ALL Trump, by any means.

Actually my rear brakes weren't really grabbing so that made the descent even more exciting.😀 Also chain was starting to slip so had it replaced.

What did you have done on your bike? I presume it wasn't the brakes - given your Mr. Toad's Wild Descent (great description!).
