There was a light breeze at the top, so we quickly scooted away to a protected area… over to the bratwurst station. 😜 I was wearing a wicking long-sleeved top which made a huge difference and kept me comfortable. David still had a wet jersey next to his skin so the cold hit him quickly. A change of clothes helped.
1 month agoI knew this view was coming and, honestly, we had already ridden so much elevation by this point, I was relieved to finally see the summit. The task ahead was clear.

1 month agoGreat job. Good to see it wasn’t crazy with motor bikes. The marmots at T1 are sort of like a little welcoming committee aren’t they!

1 month agoWhat a day! I’ve wanted to stay in a Refugio but never been able to make it work (yet) with a bicycle. I’ll be extremely careful about access when I try again!
