Thank you, Anne. It’s been a treat to read your supportive comments and just knowing you’re along for the ride has been great. I have to put a plug in for David’s mechanical expertise. It’s no small contribution and I rely 100% on it, never having to question the bike’s mechanical performance. It’s his super power. Plus, he’s a fantastic, talented riding partner. It truly was a special trip, chock-a-block full of amazing experiences that we will reflect on for years to come.

What an amazing summary video. It brought tears to my eyes. Such a wonderful adventure, so many memories to cherish. So glad it all went so well. Congratulations to both of you. What a team! Your planning was fantastic Anne and David's bike/packing skills so necessary. Not to mention the physical training and effort you both put in. Go you two!!

Glad you had such a lovely day in Venice. We've only been there in the winter but it was still so special but chilly!

How fun to come fun circle and oh how wonderful the inbetween was! Glad David's knee wasn't too badly hurt.

Thanks for following along, Rich. Of all the tours we have done, we consider this one the best. Maybe not a fair comparison as we are on a different budget now that we are older, but maybe the age card makes it that much more special, too. Anyway, we’re really happy we decided to spend 5 weeks, taking it slowly through this spectacular part of the world. And, to be able to share it with you and others is really special.

So true, Patrick. It is like no other place. It certainly was not busy, either.

Susanna and I also were in Tessara in 2022, and thought we'd give Venice a pass too since we had been there before, but like you, we decided to go, and just wander around aimlessly like we do. Glad we did. There's no place quite like Venice.

And frighteningly relevant.

It was gonzo, but it worked and it wasn’t difficult. It felt like we’d pulled a rabbit out of a hat when we finally got there.

We agree. The ride from Mestre to Tessara is safe, but not really that scenic and kind of convoluted!

Susanna and I strolled along here, but were unaware of the history you mentioned. Sobering.
