Cant click the "like" button here, because it's all so disturbing. But I sure am glad someone collected and posted these stories, that you took the time to read and re-post. Sadly, I believe most of the world forgets we share the world with other species except when they go to zoos, go on whale watch/safari excursions or watch a nature program on tv. I sure wish you luck finding non-fried food. Any chance you brought your fishing pole?
2 months agoKurt, I remember mom teaching us as toddlers to identify the call of a cedar waxwing. She would whistle the sound and then say, "Can you hear it?" Or she would point it out and say, "Did you hear that?" We can give mom credit as our first teacher, but you took off with it! Impressive!
2 months agoOk, now I'm envying your ability to identify birds by their sounds. That's something I intend to work on for sure.

2 months agoCheering you on, brother. Proud of the work youre doing with your body and spirit. Im loving your photos and prologue. Theres definitely something there in what you say in your prologue, powerful, something i hope youll pull together into something big in writing some day. Starting here. Be safe out there. Love up hard on that land and wind.
2 months agoIm hitting a pivot point with this entry. Either momentum will gather because I LOVE reading your stuff. Or maybe, hopefully not, the surges of envy will trick my brain into thinking I'm safer to ignore your posts.
